Many mothers who are refuges have stated that one point in their life they have been abused by their husbands. This is besides the fact that they have been through a lot and trying to find refuge in a whole new country. Most of the women are left to take car of the kids alone when the husband decides to leave for fear of responsibility. Others are abused by their spouses who are much stressed and find I hard to adopt to another lifestyle.

Many refugee women opt o stay with their abusive spouses because of the children. They fear what will happen to their future if they do not have jobs and one to lean on. They also fear their children will be taken away by social services if they are not in a position to provide others want to raise their children in the traditional setting a family so that the children can get to know both parents and the importance of a family unit. When you are sexually assaulted you need to :-

  • Call someone that you can trust
  • Go a safe location away fro where the incident happened
  • It is not wise to blame yourself. You did not wish for this to happen and you should thank God you are alive.
  • You need to go to the hospital and get urgent help. Inform the doctor what really happened so they can assist you effectively
  • It is your own decision if you will want to report the matter to the police
  • If you want to go to the hospital, do not bathe, brush your teeth or groom you’re self. Got to the center in the condition you are in so that the medics can get the correct results
  • If you want to nail the person who committed the crime, report to the police and do a medical examination. Bathing will destroy the evidence and it is wise to report to the station in the exact condition.

Idaho Falls Shelters Will Stay Open for the Needy

Idaho Falls Rescue Mission gives vital services, basic help, and expectation to the destitute men to be in the city of Refuge and the women who have kids’ and are also homeless are given shelter at Ruth House. The key aim is to give urgent refuge, food, cloths and basic essentials. Idaho Falls Rescue offers case administration for all those willing to stay at our shelters. Some of the programs are disability needs, referrals to get good employment, medical needs and life counseling. The residents living in these homes have the perfect chance to change their lives when they enroll in these programs. There is also the Christian discipleship program that is available on request.

Temporary Track
